Bristol and I have been recognizing outstanding individuals in our community for more than two years now, so it stands to reason that on occasion, someone we know personally will be up for the award. And this is one of those weeks.

However, I don't just "casually" know Taylor McHan, I truly KNOW him. He and his brother played baseball with my son for nearly 15 years and his parents and I have shared many nights eating nachos and greasy french fries together. Taylor and his entire family have always been those people you just knew were special. Without a doubt, some of the most giving individuals on the planet, and it didn't come as a surprise to me that Taylor's wife, Kati, would write such an incredible testimonial of her husband in his nomination letter for this week's Caught in the Act Award.

I would like to nominate Taylor McHan for the caught In the act award. He is a great father and husband, but above all else he is sweetest human being. Taylor works hard each day to be the best employee, co-worker, son, grandson, father, and husband. You see he is all those roles but he will also befriend a complete stranger to help them if they are in need. Just the other day he saw someone having car trouble, while on a date with me, and stopped to help them without thinking twice. He will give someone his very last dime if they are in need. I have seen multiple times a friend call asking him for help and he will drop what he is doing to go where ever he is needed. He also loves helping his family. He cuts his parents and grandparents yard so they don't have to get out in the heat.
He doesn't do these things to be noticed or get anything in return. He does them because that is who he is. I am blessed to call him my husband.
He is already passing on his kindness and generosity to our daughter, Analese. He will most likely be embarrassed by this recognition but he definitely deserves to be in the spotlight for a little bit. Thank you for your assistance in helping me shine the light on someone who is already so BRIGHT!

Taylor McHan, thank you for being one of the "good guys" and a big reason why this is the greatest place in America to live!

And because you've been "Caught in the Act" the gang at Silver Star Smokehouse have a $100 Gift Certificate for you and the family to come have dinner on them!

Take a listen to the phone call we made to Taylor to let him know that he was this week's Caught In The Act Award recipient.
