October 20, 2012 Friday morning, Tracy Turner quietly slipped into the memories of Kiss Country. Which, for anyone who listened to Tracy, knew how uncharacteristic this was. There is nothing quiet about Tracy. With a personality big enough to fill the Superdome and a wit sharp enough to cut diamonds, she was as loud as any college marching band, and she will be missed.
October 19, 2012 Report cards came out this week in Bossier Parish. I suspect there is crying and gnashing of teeth in several homes as we speak. Truth be told, we never have any cruel and unusual punishment at the McCoy house on report card day. It’s not that McCoy boys are Bill Gates smart or that I’m too lazy to pass out a butt whippin’ when it’s needed. It’s that I don’t believe in report cards.
It's time for the Red River Revel, the largest outdoor arts festival in North Louisiana expecting crowds of 180,000+ over the next week to hit Festival Plaza in downtown Shreveport. Red River Revel runs October 6 through 13 and along with an incredible line up of art displays, will feature some of the finest music acts to ever grace the festival.
Let's face it. A good number of us North Louisiana rednecks are evidently pigs. And we've left some considerable trash piles on the sandbars and banks of our beautiful Red River. Well, let's make up for those shortcomings and clean up the mess with the "3rd Annual Red River Clean Up."
Certainly no lack of things to do this weekend! Just be sure that wherever you go, whatever you do, be sure to take Kiss Country 93-7 with you!
Ever tried mountain oysters? How about caviar or sardines? Ever eaten a live minnow? Gary McCoy has tried 'em all. And Tracy thinks he's crazy. He even tried Goat's Rue this morning. Goat's Rue, an herbal supplement for lactation support, is the nastiest thing Tracy's ever tried.

September 27, 2012 So, in about 6 weeks we'll cast our votes for President. Obviously, this will probably be one of the most important elections of my adult life. Logic would have us believe that if we’re in better shape today than we were 4 years ago, then we certainly want to stay on a proven winning path. And if we’re not doing so well, then it’s probably time for a change.
The Haydel family of Haydel's Game Calls is doing something really cool for a group of wounded warriors by hosting a special hunt for them. The six wounded warriors will arrive in Kiss Country October 12th and the Haydel family needs our help to make this an excellent and memorable experience for these guests! Let's show our southern hospitality!
