It’s that time of year again. Mardi Gras is here and prom is just around the corner. Susan’s Closet which benefit’s the Northwest Louisiana Chapter of Susan G. Komen will be opening this Saturday. It’s the 5th year for the event which gives girls all over Kiss Country the chance to purchase gowns and accessories at the very low price of $25.
On August 16, we helped Susan G. Komen punch out breast cancer at Friday in Pink. During the 12-hour fundraiser event at the Shoppes at Bellemead, there was no shortage of pink t-shirts, bracelets, hats and more. Here's a look at all the pink things we saw at the event.
This Saturday is the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure in Bossier City. Come out with your family and enjoy the cooler weather and support a great cause. Register early so you'll have time the morning of the race to check out all the cool sponsor booths and snag freebies before the event begins.
The second annual Party in Pink Zumbathon for breast cancer awareness raised $1,400 and nearly 100 community members participated to make it a success. From 9am-Noon on Saturday, Oct. 15, the dance-fitness charity event took place at Asbury United Methodist Church in Bossier City.
