Tonight in Winnsboro, Louisiana, the Bossier Dixie Majors All Stars (19 and under) beat Terrebone to win the Dixie State Championship!  Bossier defeated Terrebone Monday night to send them to the loser's bracket of the double-elimination tournament.  Terrebone fought their way through this bracket to bring on the inevitable...a rematch!

As the father of 3 boys, I can't count the number of times I've said "We NEVER hit girls."  Well, apparently the parents of Iowa high-school sophomore Joel Northrup had the same conversation enough that he understood the importance of that practice.  And now that very belief has cost him.
