If you're looking for something to do this weekend we have a lot of great events in our area.  Whether you want to get out with the family and see Christmas lights or head out with your sweetie to see a movie we've got the info.

Some interesting events are happening this weekend in Kiss Country including the first Horse Fall Festival in Bossier, a music festival in Blanchard, and the dedication and open house of the brand new Caddo Fire District #1 Central Station.

Today begins a week of  Special Youth Deer Season on Private Land in our area (Area 2). Turns out it's kinda the unofficial/official start to deer season for youth thanks to a new rule pertaining to youth this year in Louisiana. Read on for more information!

Let's face it.  A good number of us North Louisiana rednecks are evidently pigs.  And we've left some considerable trash piles on the sandbars and banks of our beautiful Red River.  Well, let's make up for those shortcomings and clean up the mess with the "3rd Annual Red River Clean Up."

Gary thinks today should be a national holiday. It's a three-way tie for first between the birth of his children, the first LSU football game of the year and the first day of deer season. This morning we have been talking about a new show coming out this Fall on NBC called "Revolution". It has us thinking and planning how we would react if we found out that we soon would lose all modern conveniences, all electrical devices. No cars. No gas pumps. No air conditioning. Nothin'

After a week of record breaking temperatures, you deserve a couple days off! Maybe you are interested in a top secret urban adventure or have some football viewing on your schedule--whatever you do this weekend be sure to take Kiss Country with you!

If you woke up bright eyed and bushy tailed this morning and you wanna pound the pavement, drink down your coffee and head to Airline High School for an event that supports the AHS Cross Country team. Runners and walkers are welcome.
