This week, we've got a big Kiss Country "Kiss" for the seat of Desoto Parish!  Mansfield, Louisiana. The city was first platted in 1843 but wasn't officially incorporated into the City of Mansfield until 1948. Pictured here, the first parish courthouse which was erected in the early 1850's.

This week it's a big old Kiss Country smooch for Springhill, Louisiana.  Talk about an incredible history for the little town tucked away in North Webster parish!  In 1894, though still unincorporated, what would eventually become Springhill took the name "Barefoot, Louisiana" on the notions of a Mrs. Maxwell, who assigned the name based on her observations that many men in the community
