Here is a great event happening this morning in Bossier to help our babies. For 16 years now, Haughton High School has conducted a special event the night of graduation for all seniors entitled "Graduation Celebration." The evening, chaperoned by scores of parents, provides graduates a safe environment for the night.  Drug free and alcohol free, the event provides loads of games, activities, music and most every attendant will receive some great gifts.   Read Mo

Whatever you plan on getting in to this weekend, be sure to stay cool and hydrated. The temperature will be over 100 degrees all weekend in Kiss Country. Get out early tomorrow morning and take the kids fishing or support a new local girls group by enjoying pancakes! Then later on you can enjoy the air conditioning in the movie theater.

Amelia Hope Thomas is the 8 month old daughter of Mich and Brook Thomas and suffers from a disease called "Hurlers". As you can tell from her picture, she's beautiful and in hopes of helping her beat this disease, she'll undergo a bone marrow transplant at Amplatz Children's Hospital within the next 30 days.

Christy Holbrook Gallegos was my friend.  In fact, if you ever met Christy, you were her friend.  Though I was a couple years older than her, we went to high school together at Trinity Heights Christian Academy in North Shreveport.  She went on to become a flight nurse aboard Life Air Rescue and touched literally thousands of lives.  Christy lost her battle with cancer recently and if the loss of

Haughton's Brandon Digilormo will be walking/biking from Haughton to Nashville, TN in addition to running in Nashville's Music City Marathon! Brandon is a full time traveling evangelist and part of his ministry is this effort to support a Haitian orphanage.

Animal Welfare, Inc. will hold their annual fundraising "Rummage 4 Rescue" this Saturday from 9am til 4pm in the Barksdale Federal Credit Union Parking Lot (in front of building) at 2321 Airline Dr. - Bossier City, LA.

Last Friday I first got wind of a song written in memory of little Caylee Anthony by Rascal Flatts’ Gary LeVox, Cledus T. Judd and songwriter Jimmy Yeary.  Sung by Shane Hines, a Nashville songwriter/demo singer and titled “She’s Going Places” Kiss Country first played the song that afternoon and listener reaction here has been replicated all across the country both online and off.  People love it
