A tradition that my wife and I started long ago is still one of my favorites.  Every Easter morning we attend the Easter Sunrise Services at Hill Crest Memorial on Highway 80 in the Haughton area.  There is nothing so awesome as the open amphitheater at Hill Crest as dawn begins to make its presence with wood ducks flying by and squirrels scampering around.

What looked to be the start of a dreary day for Easter on the Bayou turned out to be a great day full of fun. There were many colorful, candy-filled eggs scattered throughout the woods for the children to hunt, good food and other fun activities for the families to enjoy.

Easter is coming up on Sunday March 31st.  We're getting ready early with Easter on the Bayou tomorrow (Sat. Mar. 23.)  And I'm getting ready by watching little kids getting run over by their dogs in today's Daily Funny.... Easter Edition! ...

We're crossing our fingers that Mother Nature doesn't hit Cypress Black Bayou with rain this Saturday (March 23) and make us reschedule Easter on the Bayou, but if she does we have a rain date set.
