It's been a long and interesting journey for Shreveport's Cole Vosbury, who started out on 'The Voice' with a blind audition that leaned toward novelty and made a big mid-season move to Blake Shelton's team. Proud? The understatement of the year! This morning when we talked to Robin Vosbury, long time singer/musician in the Shreveport/Bossier area, and father of The Voice contestant Cole Vosbury, you could feel the pride in every breath.

Cole Vosbury performed two songs on "The Voice" last night. He started the NBC Show "The Voice" with the Hall & Oates classic "Rich Girl," but his biggest performance of the night was the James Morrison song "Better Man."

Our local boy Cole Vosbury kicked off the Voice last night with his version of Hall and Oats “Rich Girl.” The judges all liked the performance which suited Cole’s style very well. The second song Cole performed last night was “Better Man,” which he dedicated to his first love -- someone he's not even with anymore.

Last night Cole Vosbury took on his country roots when he sang a song that he admits hits close to home. The song originally recorded by Vince Gill was a hit with all of the judges. Last night's episode of 'The Voice' featured another great night for Shreveporter Cole Vosbury, who performed 'To Be With You' by Mr. Big.

At lunch today a friend of mine, country singer-songwriter Casey Martin, asked if I'd been watching Shreveport guy Cole Vosbury on 'The Voice.' After answering a forceful, 'Yes!', Casey informed me that Cole, one of the final 12 on the hit talent show, is still scheduled to play at Superior Grill on Line Avenue on Friday, November 22. Cole Vosbury has made it through another round on 'The Voice.' The Shreveport native's journey continues following a stellar performance of Miguel's 'Adorn' Monday night (Nov. 11) that rendered the show's new Twitter-based #VoiceSave option moot.

At this writing we're only minutes away from seeing another performance from Shreveport's own Cole Vosbury on NBC's "The Voice."  Having made it to the Top 12 is an accomplishment in itself, but he truly has the talent to possibly win the whole thing and notch another win for Team Blake.
