Poke Salad Festival Treasure Hunt
May 9, 2011 Okay, so I'm old. I remember the very first Blanchard Poke Salad Festival. Most of the whole event took place on the grounds of the Blanchard Methodist Church, and I'm not even sure it lasted the whole day...but man things have grown. This weekend it's the 37th annual Poke Salad Festival in Blanchard, La. It starts this Thursday, May 12th and runs through Saturday, May 14th with some really cool events like the Carnival, the parade, the fish fry, the live music and beauty pageant and again this year, "The Treasure Hunt".
