The Shreveport Police Department is on the lookout for two suspects who reportedly attempted to burglarize a local business Saturday morning.

Just after 6:30 a.m. on January 21, 2017, Shreveport Police responded to the One Tech Electronics business located in the 1100 block of North Market Street. When officers arrived on scene, they learned that while business was closed, two men forced their way inside the building. The unsuspecting burglars were surprised when they were met by an employee of the business who was inside during the crime.

We get what happened next from Cpl. Marcus Hines, spokesman for the SPD:

The employee, who armed himself, reportedly fired shots at the suspects who were last seen fleeing the business driving off northbound in a tan colored sport utility vehicle, possibly a Kia Spectra. The suspects, who did not make off with any valuables, were described as two black males wearing beanie style caps on their heads. The store employee, while shaken, was not injured during the incident.

Police are asking anyone with information about the crime to contact Crimestoppers at (318) 673-7373 or visit their website at www.lockemup.org.
