Susan’s Closet Opens This Saturday February 8th

It’s that time of year again. Mardi Gras is here and prom is just around the corner. Susan’s Closet which benefit’s the Northwest Louisiana Chapter of Susan G. Komen will be opening this Saturday. It’s the 5th year for the event which gives girls all over Kiss Country the chance to purchase gowns and accessories at the very low price of $25. Susans Closet is at the First Baptist Church in Shreveport this Saturday. Doors open at 7 am for high school students. The general public is welcome at 10am.

We spoke with Lindsay Dean who works for the fundraiser earlier this week and she said they’re still in desperate need of gowns, shoes and accessories. If you happen to have any of these items they can be dropped off at any Porters Cleaners locations. Don’t forget your donation is tax deductible.
