The Freedom Student Summit is coming to Bossier City next month. The event is set for April 8th at 6pm at Bossier Parish Community College.

Actor Kirk Cameron is encouraging all students to attend this event.

Cameron has this message for students across the region.

This is a call to prayer. Let's join across the community to pray for our students and our schools. We encourage churches and students to meet leading up to the Freedom Summit and pray for our community.  We draw a line, and that lines starts with prayer.

It's called "I Stand With Bossier" and it will attract students from across the region.

You might notice students with a blue line on their hands. This is a symbol of students showing support for more prayer in school.

Congressman Mike Johnson and State Attorney General Jeff Landry will be speaking at this event which also has the support of Super Bowl coach Doug Pederson, Family Research Council President Tony Perkins, U.S. Senator John Kennedy and many others.

Several local pastors, students and area leaders will also speak at the event.
