This week's story was submitted by Kathryn Woods. Kathryn is proud of her military daddy:

My dad has always been my hero. He is retired from the Air Force. After he graduated Arkansas High in '81, he left to serve our country for 18 months. His job was to patrol the airplanes that they called "B.U.F.F.'s". While he was in the military, they had discovered he had a brain tumor in his head. A few months later he was medically discharged with a 100% disability. He now has a wife of nearly 22 years and two children, my sister and I. He has done everything for us. I want to honor him because I want to let him know that he will always be a hero in his daughters and my moms eyes. I love my dad, and if it wasn't for him, my sister and I would never of had the chance to be the first of the Woods family to go to college. We receive benefits as his dependents. My dad was the one who actually inspired me to join the Air Force Jr. ROTC program in high school. My dad became the "ROTC Dad" my entire high school career. He was there to support me during competitions, and gave me pointers on how to improve my job. My dad is a brave hero that I love with all my heart. He served his country, and now it's my turn to be there for him since now he needs someone to take care of him. I love you dad. Your little girl is proud of you!
