Princeton Elementary’s Katherine Williams, a 4th grade teacher, realized the need for additional funds for technology for classroom teachers, so she decided to do something about it.  She’s joined with Princeton Elementary, Sportspectrum Race Management and the Northwest Louisiana Runners Association to develop the 1st Annual Sprint for Princeton which includes a 5K Health Walk and ½ mile Fun Run. 

The event will start and finish at Princeton Elementary on Saturday, January 11.  A fun addition to the run is camouflage theme.  Runners will even receive a commemorative 2013 Patriot Dash 5K camo t-shirt. The 1/2 mile fun run will begin at 8:00 a.m. and the 5K will follow at 8:30 a.m.

Entry Fee: Pre-registration - $10 for students (18 and under) and $15 for adults by January 9th.

Late registration - $20 for all participants after January 9th (including race day registration). Online registration is available at www.sportspectrumusa.com (credit card only). You may register by cash or check made payable to “Sportspectrum”, 6970 Fern Ave., Shreveport, LA 71105. Checks made payable to “Sportspectrum” may also be dropped off at Princeton Elementary.

Race Packet: Every pre-registered participant will receive a 2013 Patriot Dash 5K t-shirt.

Packet Pick-up: Race packets will be available at Princeton Elementary, Thursday, January 9th and Friday, January 10th from 11AM – 4PM. Race day packets may be picked up beginning at 7:30AM.

Race Course: The 5K will start and finish at Princeton Elementary, 1895 Winfield Rd. Princeton, LA 71067. The race will go down Winfield Ave. to Fullwood, down Fullwood and then finishing at the school.

Post Event Party: Plan to stay after the race for refreshments and a brief awards ceremony.

Awards: 1st and 2nd place, male and female, in the following age divisions will receive a special award: 12 and under, 13-18, 19-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60+. All children competing in the fun run will receive a treat.

Special Note: Under RRCA regulations, absolutely no baby joggers, strollers, bikes, or skate devices.
