Former LSU basketball player and sports reporter Jordy Hultberg has been arrested following a domestic dispute with his estranged wife.

According to NOLA.com/The Times-Picayune, Hultberg, 59, was arrested at his home around 2 a.m. Saturday on charges of simple battery and domestic abuse.

East Baton Rouge Sheriff's deputies reported to the scene to find the victim, Sharon Hultberg, with signs of physical abuse. She accused her husband of grabbing her arms and pushing her into a dresser.

The arrest report outlines the confrontation that began when Sharon Hultberg walked into Jordy Hultberg's home to find him with another woman.

The two had been married for 15 years but were in the process of getting a divorce.

Hultberg, lettered four seasons with the LSU basketball program in the late 70s. His sports reporting credentials include being the sideline reporter for the Cox Communications New Orleans Hornets broadcasts. He also hosts a radio sports talk program on Delta Media of Acadiana's 103.7 The Game.
