Shreveport Police are on the hunt for the suspect in a late morning shooting which sent a local man to the hospital Wednesday.

Officers were called to the 2200 block of West Algonquin Trail in Shreveport’s Cherokee Park neighborhood.  Officers found the victim, 21 year old Natrevious Hudson at a home in the area. He had been shot in the lower back and left leg.

Based on preliminary information gathered during the investigation process, it was learned Hudson was driving along West Algonquin Trail at Navajo Trail when a car he was driving was shot at multipole times.  After being struck, Hudson’s car subsequently crashed into a tree and was left abandoned along the sidewalk.  Upon exiting the wrecked car, Hudson fled to the West Algonquin Trail residence where he was ultimately located by first responders.  During interviews, Hudson was less than forthcoming with investigators concerning details on the shooting.  At current, authorities are seeking leads in the case and are asking those persons who may have information about the crime to contact Crimestoppers at (318) 673-7373 or visit their website at www.lockemup.org.

Hudson is expected to make a full recovery from his wounds.
