With the New Year fast approaching, lots of us will do some self evaluation.  There are things we feel we need to change about ourselves and the New Year has always appeared the best time to institute those changes.

Considering things like our weight and overall health, all the way to our finances, most everyone will at least entertain the thought of making a change or two.  And in lots of areas outside of Shreveport, people are likely to make the change and stick with it.  Apparently, here in Shreveport, that's not the case.

The personal-finance website WalletHub today released its report on 2019’s Best & Worst Cities for Keeping Your New Year's Resolutions and though we weren't last on the list, only Gulfport, Mississippi was ranked lower than us.  They were ranked 182nd and Shreveport came in at 181st.

What this means is that in the Shreveport area, it's highly likely that whatever your New Year's Resolution might be, in all likelihood, you'll never see it through.

Here's how WalletHub arrived at their findings:

To determine where Americans are most likely to stick to their goals for 2019, WalletHub considered some of the most popular (and most commonly broken) resolutions to rank more than 180 U.S. cities based on their conduciveness to self-improvement. In each city, we looked at a total of 56 key metrics, ranging from gyms per capita to income growth to employment outlook.
