Shreveport Bossier Weekend Events – October 19,20,21

Some interesting events are happening this weekend in Kiss Country including the first Horse Fall Festival in Bossier, a music festival in Blanchard, and the dedication and open house of the brand new Caddo Fire District #1 Central Station.

Caddo Fire District #1 Central Station was destroyed by fire 2 years ago. The rebuilding process is now complete on a brand new Central Fire Station serving the citizens of Caddo Fire District #1. Stop by during this weekends dedication and open house to check out the beautiful new fire station.

MUDSTOCK

Mudstock 2012 is happening RIGHT NOW at River Run ATV park in Jacksonville, Texas. It’s not too late to have a weekend of muddy, rowdy fun on 3,000 acres with tons of prizes, great live music and all your crazy new best friends that you haven’t even met yet.

Brew is happening this weekend in downtown Shreveport’s Festival Plaza:

Experience an afternoon sampling internationally acclaimed and domestically micro-brewed ales, pilsners, stouts and everything in between at this 4th annual event. In conjunction with the premier beers, some of the area’s finest restaurants will be on hand providing free samples of their signature dishes. For the ticket price, you will receive a souvenir tasting glass for four-ounce pours of the featured beers, free food samples from some of the finest restaurants in the area, and answers to your beer questions. Tickets are $50 per person.

• Equine Costume Contest (horses must have proof of current coggins and all participants will have to sign liability to waiver)
• Pumpkin Carving Contest (all pumpkins need to be at Tractor Supply by 1:00pm, judging begins at 4p)

• Festively Decorated Mule Drawn Covered Wagon Rides

• Homemade Chili Bowls
