Shreveport Bossier Weekend Events — August 24-26
Football! Music! Movies! We have your weekend events! We are kicking off the weekend with tons of high school football across Kiss Country and a couple great concerts tonight. Here are the details:
High School Football:
- North Desoto at Mansfield tonight (6:30)
- Benton Vs Parkway tonight at Airline (8:45)
- Northwood Vs Captain Shreve at Independence Stadium (6:00)
- Haughton Vs Airline at Airline (7:20)
- Bossier Vs Louisiana New Tech/Plain Dealing at Airline (6:00)
- Tonight is the 2012 Bossier City Lions Club Football Jamboree, being held at Airline High School at Airline, gates open at 5 p.m. The Homecoming queens for Bossier and La New Tech at Plain Dealing will be presented at 5:50 p.m. At 7:10 p.m. the Homecoming queens for Airline and Haughton will be presented. At 8:30 p.m. there will be a mass band patriotic salute. Presentation of the Homecoming queens for Parkway and Benton is at 8:45 p.m.
Get Your Run On – This Saturday morning is the Airline Vikings’ Back to School 5K Run and Health Walk. There is a 1K fun run at 7:30 a.m. followed by the 5K at 8 a.m. It starts from the Airline parking lot and winds through campus, Greenacres neighborhood, then ends on the Airline track. Proceeds benefit the AHS Cross Country team.
