This morning we felt bad for a few seconds when we discovered that we had woken Sherry Harber from a good night's sleep, but when she heard us read the letter we'd received about her and husband, Kenneth, from her neice, Debbie Gilmore, her chuckle and a quick, "Awe, that girl is always doing something," made it all worth while.

See, Debbie knows good people when she sees them, and it didn't take her long to point out just how awesome her Aunt and Uncle, Sherry and Kenneth Harber, are.

In her nomination letter, she points out that these two are quite the pair, and always willing to go the extra mile for family, friends and neighbors. And it's their compassion and desire to serve that made them easy to recognize as this week's recipients of the Kiss Country Caught in the Act Award.

My Aunt and Uncle have servant's hearts. They help their neighbors, whether it's helping to mow a yard when they're ill or driving a neighbor to the Dr. or grocery store. I've known them to be driving down the road and get a call from a neighbor that needs them, not knowing if it's an emergency or not. They have turned around and gone back to help. They go above and beyond for their friends and family. They take family members to appointments so other family members don't have to take time off from their jobs. They also take ones who have no one else to take them.
They ask for nothing in return and shy away from their acts of kindness being known. I know God will reward their selfless deeds but I would like to nominate them to be "Caught In The Act."

Sherry and Kenneth Harber, thank you for being an inspiration to us all and a big reason why this is the greatest place in America to live!

And because you've been "Caught in the Act" the gang at Silver Star Smokehouse and Silver Star Grille have a $100 Gift Certificate for you to come have dinner on them!

Take a listen to the phone call we made to Sherry and Kenneth to let them know they were this week's Caught In The Act Award recipients.
