The State Fair Of Louisiana kicks back off at 10 A.M., Wednesday, October 28, and has a great week in store for visitors.

From The State Fair Offices:

  • On Wednesday, October 28th, the Ark-La-Tex Agricultural Council Jr. Livestock Sale will take place at 9:00am in the Sale Arena.  4-H and FFA members will have an opportunity to sell their livestock animals in an auction.
  • Wednesday is also Half Price Day, parking and gate admission are free from 10am - 3pm.  At 3pm, gate admission is 1/2 price at $5.00 and carnival ride wristbands are 1/2 price at $15.00 from 12noon til 10pm.
  • On Thursday, October 29th,we honor our greatest generation, our seniors! It’s Senior Day at the Fair. There will be live entertainment, over 100 exhibitors with great information, free health screenings, free flu and pneumonia shots with your Medicare card (while they last) and over 150 door prizes will be given away. This event is presented by The Best of Times Magazine.
  • Thursday is also Dollar Day, parking and gate admission are free from 10am - 3pm.  At 3pm, parking is $1, gate admission is $1 and carnival rides are $1 each from 12noon - 10pm.
  • Concerts scheduled on the main stage this week are as follows:
    • Wednesday, October 28th, Bayou Boogie Concert at 6:30pm, 7:30pm, and 8:30pm
  • Thursday, October 29th, The Wizard of Voz Concert at 6:30pm and Cole Vosburyat 8:00pm.
  • Friday, October 30th, Bishop Fred A. Caldwell Sr. International Call in Show at 5:06pm. Jammin’ For Jesus Gospel Concert @ 6:30pm.
  • Saturday, October 31st, 17th Annual Gospel Music Celebration starting at 11:30am  presented by The State Fair of Louisiana and Miracle 89.1 FM.  Badd Mamma Jamma @ 6:30pm, Slack & Friends @ 7:30pm and Blaze Band @ 9:00pm.
  • Sunday, November 1st, is Faith at the Fair.  Alive By Sunrise performs at 3pm,Cypress Baptist Band @ 4:30pm and Capital Kings @ 6:00pm.
