Patrons at the Louisiana Boardwalk last night were worried after hearing reports of a man with a gun hiding between two vehicles in the parking garage.

At around 5:30 p.m., officers were called out to the Boardwalk, where they searched the parking garage and surrounding area. They didn't find anyone fitting the description of the individual.

Bossier City Public Information Officer Mark Natale says police closed off a portion of the first level of the garage for about an hour while the fire department's two vapor wake dogs - dogs that can sniff out explosives - checked out vehicles in the area where the man was reportedly seen. There was concern the man may have tampered with one of the vehicles.

The dogs didn't alert on anything, and the closed-off area was reopened after about an hour.
