Thomas Teutsch is the definition of "public servant." He serves as an officer for Desoto Parish and as a volunteer firefighter, and all the while, he's got his eyes open to spring into action any time others need him.

When you read the nomination letter we received from his wife Sara, you can just feel the pride she holds for her husband. And with such a compelling letter, it was easy to name Thomas Teutsch as this week's recipient of the Kiss Country Caught in the Act Award.

This guy right here was made to serve the public. He has done some truly extraordinary things. He is a police officer for Desoto Parish who definitely doesn't get the recognition he deserves from those who he rushes to protect. He is also a volunteer firefighter who jumps up at any opportunity to go fight fires and he responds to any emergency that requires CPR or an extra hand. Just yesterday we were on our way to a family bbq and were running a little late, but we passed a car with several children in it and the family had a flat tire. So of course he turned around to help them change it! On top of how busy he is helping the public, he has 3 beautiful children that he balances time out perfectly for to play with them and spend quality time with. I'm so proud to say this man is my husband, and i'd love to have him recognized for all that he does for people and our family daily.

Thomas Teutsch, thank you for being one of the "good guys" and a big reason why this is the greatest place in America to live!

And because you've been "Caught in the Act" the gang at Silver Star Smokehouse have a $100 Gift Certificate for you and the family to come have dinner on them!

Take a listen to the phone call we made to Thomas to let him know that he was this week's Caught In The Act Award recipient.
