For at least two solid years, we've heard residents of the Shreveport-Bossier area demand our region gets Uber. I've seen countless Facebook threads where members of our community argue for or against the car service, but let's face it, Facebook isn't the place where these issues get resolved.

No, the place that matters most when it comes to Uber in Shreveport is our city council.

Today, the city council will be discussing the pros and cons of Uber in Shreveport, and you're invited to join the conversation. The public hearing is set for 1:30 PM today inside the City Council Chamber, located at 505 Travis St in downtown Shreveport. This is your final chance to have your voice heard, before the council votes on Uber tomorrow.

The good news for you (if you want Uber) is that Shreveport councilman Michael Corbin believes we are very close to a "thumbs up" vote to bring the popular service to Shreveport. He spoke with our sister station, 710 KEEL, and you can listen to the full conversation HERE.

Do you want Uber here or would you rather stick with our current cab service? Don't let this opportunity slip without getting your two cents in where it counts.

1:30 PM today (Feb 13th), 505 Travis St in downtown Shreveport.
