Over 21,000 in Caddo and Bossier Still Without Electricity

At the height of yesterday's damaging storms with the extremely high winds, Southwestern Electric Power Company (SWEPCO) reported well over 25,000 were without power in the immediate Ark-La-Tex area. And by all appearances, though crews worked feverishly through the night, lots of those customers are still in the dark.

As of 5:00 am on Thursday, according to the outage map on the SWEPCO website, Caddo Parish still has just over 16,000 outages and Bossier Parish has over 5,000 without power. Desoto Parish is reporting a little more than 1,700 outages at press time and Webster reports just over 500.
