Friday night, Harrah's Louisiana Downs is the place to be! Dress is black tie for Akewa's Tableau and tickets are $60. Don't miss out on the gorgeous pearl necklace they'll be raffling off as well!
The mighty Krewe of Sobek will be taking their 'Sports Mania' themed Grand Bal to the Shreveport Convention Center this Friday night. Doors open at 6pm with the presentation of royalty at 8pm. Tickets are $80 and it's black tie. You don't want to miss these costumes!
The Krewe of Artemis Springhill will once again be taking over the Springhill Civic Center Saturday night for their big night, including an indoor, golf cart parade! Doors open at 6:30pm with tableau at 7:30pm. Tickets are $60 and dress is black tie. No tickets will be sold at the door.
The Krewe of Sobek will host the first parade of the Mardi Gras season this Saturday at Fair Grounds Field in Shreveport starting at 1pm. This is your first chance of the year to replenish your Mardi Gras cup collection!
The all-female Krewe de les Femmes Mystique will hold court Saturday night at the Shreveport Convention Center with dueling DJs! Doors open at 6:30pm with tableau at 7:30PM. The event features a dinner buffet and cash bar. Tickets are $80 and dress is formal.

The Krewe of Harambee is hosting their float loading party and pig roast ahead of their parade Monday, this Sunday from 4-10pm at their den, 1049 Grimmett Drive in Shreveport. Admission is free. Harambee's parade with take place Monday in downtown Shreveport at 1pm starting at Shreveport Municipal Auditorium.
This Saturday from 8pm-12am, head to the Silver Lake Ballroom in downtown Shreveport for the first annual Parti Gras Bal. This year's theme is all things 80's, so break out your parachute pants and your Swatch watch and get ready to dance the night away to The Molly Ringwalds! Tickets are $55. Proceeds from the event will benefit the Humane Society of Northwest Louisiana, Louisiana Association for the Blind and the Food Bank of Northwest Louisiana.
