Shreveport Police are investigating a domestic shooting that claimed the life of a man this morning.

Officers responded to a home in the 6100 block of Pebble Beach Drive on reports of a shooting. Arriving officers located the 43-year-old victim lying in the driveway suffering from multiple gunshot wounds to the upper body. The victim was transported to University Health Hospital and was pronounced deceased a short time later.

Investigators found several shell casings at the scene. The victim was visiting his girlfriend at a residence in the block when her estranged husband, 46-year-old Steve Williams, of the 2800 block of Alvin Lane, pulled up in a white pickup truck, exited the vehicle, and allegedly began firing rounds from a handgun in the victims direction, striking him multiple times. Williams fled the scene in the pickup truck and officers combed the city in an attempt to locate him. Just before 1:00pm, Williams surrendered himself to authorities at the Shreveport Police Complex. Following interviews, Williams was booked into the Shreveport City Jail on one count of Second Degree Murder and a city warrant
