While Bossier Parish students are on Fall Break, a parish-wide mock emergency drill will be held this Friday, October 10, at Bossier High School. A large number of emergency vehicles and personnel will be seen going to the school. Please do not be alarmed, as this is only a drill.

The Bossier Office of Homeland Security is conducting this exercise in conjunction with Bossier Schools and emergency responders throughout the parish. The drill is to enhance joint response and readiness procedures.

Bossier Parish Community College students will serve as actors in this exercise and simulated triage will take place on the school campus. Again, school will be closed and no students from Bossier High or Bossier Parish Schools will be involved in this scenario.

The public is being asked to avoid the area. A perimeter will be in place, prohibiting sight-seers from getting close to the school.

If there are any questions about this drill, please contact the Bossier Office of Homeland Security and Emergency Preparedness at (318) 425-5351.
