Michelle Benson Lewis has one of those hearts that always puts herself last. Constantly dedicated to the needs of other people and other animals. And it's that heart that made her a shoe-in for this week's Kiss Country Caught in the Act Award.

In her nomination letter about Michelle, Cindy Jennings painted a picture of a near Saint.

Michelle has a heart of gold and a passion to match it. She knows no limit to what she will do for a spray or mistreated dog.She has opened her own home up to dogs and won their trust in humans again. She has such a passion for our small town community too. When it looked like we wouldn't have a "Ride for Life Event" this year she took on that too and pull off one of the best events. She made sure nonprofit organizations got booths at this event first. I have seen her spend hours trying to win the trust of a starving mama dog and pups, she's spent no what on telling on vet bills for dogs. And I've seen her work around to clock to make t-shirts for groups and not charge much because she knew it was going for a cause. She's the type you could call at 2 a.m. and say, " I need help and she's be the first to show up. Michelle will do without to give to any cause and the fist to serve. Michelle also takes time to listen to people even when I know she's stressed and worried herself. Michelle has helped look for lost pets many nights and days and never gives up hope on any pet, human or community event. Michelle is a great example of what I consider a good community leader.

Michelle Benson Lewis, thank you for being one of the biggest reasons why this is the greatest place in America to live!

And because you've been "Caught in the Act" the gang at Silver Star Steak House and Silver Star Smokehouse have a $100 Gift Certificate for you and the family to come have dinner on them!

Take a listen to the phone call we made to Michelle to let her know that she was this week's Caught In The Act Award recipient.
