Every Summer, the Shreveport Farmers' Market opens to the public full of home grown goodies, canned foods, crafts, and hot prepared food. Anyone who is looking to sale their wares during the Farmers' Market are urged to attend the 2017 Annual Meeting for Potential Vendors, which is a wealth if information.

A press release sent out by The Shreveport Farmers' Market gives us the dates for each meeting and to whom the meetings are focused:

Shreveport Farmers' Market is a growers-only market. The fresh produce offered for sale must be grown by the seller or someone in their immediate family within a 100-mile radius of the market. The meeting for farmers, gardeners, ranchers, and others involved in the production of agricultural products takes place Tuesday, April 4.

Those interested in selling home-made goods such as jams, jellies, sausage made from purchased meats, frozen or preserved vegetables, baked goods, and other products will meet Wednesday, April 5.

The meeting Thursday, April 6 is for those vendors of hot foods to be consumed at the market and food trucks.

All meetings will take place at 6:00 p.m. on their respective days at 101 Crockett St, Suite B, in Festival Plaza.
