Timothy Horton is a very unassuming construction worker, but his act of kindness has not only earned him a place forever in the hearts of his wife and daughter, but also in our hearts.

And it's his moral fiber and commitment to others that have led us to make him this week's Caught In the Act Award recipient.

Nominated by his wife Kayla Horton, here's the letter she sent us for his consideration..

Timothy Horton didn't do anything big or major, but he did something that really caught my eye. Yesterday, Monday Aug 3rd, we were driving down Linton Rd in Benton when we turned a corner and seen a car flipped over with a small fire, and smoke coming from it. There was also one other truck that had stopped to try and help. Some people would just keep going like the few people that were behind us, and the ones passing in the other direction did but what Timothy did was something that caught our Daughters eye, and my self. He did something that I would never forget. With out hesitation or thinking twice TJ pulls over and instantly jumps out of the car and runs to help the two young girls in the car. Him and the other guy managed to get both girls unbuckled, safely removed from the car, and checked on them. By the way both girls were OK. Our daughter all night kept saying mommy my daddy helped them girls. TJ isn't a hero or anything like that but it really puts a smile on your face when you see anyone helping a complete stranger, because he could have kept driving.

Timothy Horton, thank you for being one of the biggest reasons why this is the greatest place in America to live!

And because you've been "Caught in the Act" the gang at Silver Star Steak House and Silver Star Smokehouse have a $100 Gift Certificate for you and the family to come have dinner on them!

Take a listen to the phone call we made to Timothy to let him know that he was this week's Caught In The Act Award recipient below.
