Meet Paula Varnell – Recipient of This Week’s Caught in the Act Award

Paula Varnell is one of those "cup half full" kind of people and it's her positive outlook and willingness to serve that caused us to recognize her as this week's Kiss Country Caught in the Act Award recipient.

And it was her own granddaughter, Hilaree Olson, who wrote to tell us just how awesome a woman Paula is.

Paula is my grandmother and best friend. She started from the ground up being a single mother to four kids and no car. Now, she has her own business and owns 5 rent houses. There isn't a person in the world she hasn't helped- she adopted three boys and took care of them, along with her other 10 grandkids, she helps her neighbors watching their kids and even giving them money when they have money problems. Even with her own business and long hours she never missed one horse show in the ten years I was on the show circuit. Anyone that needs a job can come to her and she will find you one. Anyone that needs a place to sleep, she will give you a room. Anyone that knows her will tell you she deserves to be nominated for this ten times over. Even with everyone she takes care of- even I don't know the number of people- she still finds time to help more people. I only hope to be a fraction of the woman she is when I am her age. **PS call more than once if she doesn't answer the first time. She's always talking to someone. Haha**
