Simply put, Mrs. Billie Tate, is "good people."  She's the kind of person you hope to be when you grow up...even if you're 30.  And though she had no idea anyone was watching, Courtney Hogg was paying close attention and told us just why Mrs. Billie is a huge part of what's good about the Ark-La-Tex and that she'd been "Caught in the Act" of doing good!

Here's what Courtney had to say about Mrs. Billie Tate when she nominated her for this week's Caught in the Act Award.

Most people know her as Mrs. Billie but for those who don't know her let me just try and describe her in 160 words or less. She is one of three children's directors at First Methodist Shreveport. She is over the nursery and preschool departments there. Two years ago after seeing that there was a need in our community for more programs and fun activities for children with special needs she started a ministry. GEMS; Gods Exceptional Miracles. Since starting this new ministry she has had all types of events and wonderful turnouts. Mrs. Billie has a special love for kids that most don't. She has never had a job that doesn't involve hands on interaction with children. She is the most loving, caring, generous person you and your kids would ever want to me. She truly has a servants heart. I can't think of anyone I know more deserving of this award and because of her servant heart she w ill not want to expect it but totally deserves it!

Mrs. Billie, it's women like you that make this an awesome place to live!  Thank you!

And because you've been "Caught in the Act" the gang at Silver Star Steak House and Silver Star Smokehouse have a $100 Gift Certificate for you and the family to come have dinner on them!

Take a listen to the phone call we made to let Mrs. Billie know she was this week's Caught In The Act Award recipient below.
