Every week we’re blessed to see hundreds of letters showing us the positives of life here in Northwest Louisiana. We get countless entries for our weekly “Caught in the Act Award” with stories of men, women and children who truly make this an incredible place to live.

The selection process has gotten harder and harder every week because so many are doing so many amazing things. And that’s why this week’s selection is so special. Nominated by Cindie Williams, we just had to tell you about Monica Grill Gibson. She's a realtor by day, angel by night!

Here’s what that Cindie wrote about Monica as she nominated her for this week’s Caught in the Act Award.

Monica quietly behind the scenes does all kinds of good things. The three that come to mind right off the bat are:

1)She and her family do the MAKE A WISH FOUNDATION. She just last week met with a family and child to see about granting the child with his "make a wish dream". She has done this several times. She just this week gave a speech to a group of people at Mall St Vincent about the MAKE A WISH FOUNDATION

2) She works through the Simple Church on several different things they do to help people in need

3) She also works through Christ the King Catholic Church. She does the shopping for a "Feed the Hungry" program they do. She takes the food and helps put the bags together and delivers the bags to where ever they go and help distribute to the needy as they come in to get their food.

These are just a few of the things I know she does. She never really talks about all she does. I just have observed these things

On a personal note she is so great about helping with my grand children. And is expecting her first grand baby this November!!!

PLEASE consider her for this honor.

Monica Gibson, Thank You! Thank you for caring! Thank you for seeing the need, and filling the need! And because you’ve been “Caught in the Act” the gang at Silver Star Steak House and Silver Star Smokehouse have a $100 Gift Certificate for you and the family to come have dinner on them! She did make a correction however, she works with St. Jude with their Hope Connection program as opposed to Christ the King. She's still pretty much perfect!

Take a listen to the phone call we made to Monica to let her know that she was this week’s Caught In The Act Award recipient.
