Michelle Burgess is truly one of the crowned Princesses of Blanchard and with very good reason. Her giving heart and concern for all those around her made her an easy pick for this week's Kiss Country Caught in the Act Award.

Serving as the Assistant Principal for Blanchard Elementary School, Michelle has lots of opportunities to help out in the Blanchard area, and she never misses the mark. Whether it's one of the students who needs a helping hand, or maybe a new substitute teacher who could use some help in a time of crisis, Michelle is there!

Just take a look at her nomination letter we received from Amanda Mitts, one of those substitute teachers, and you'll understand exactly why Michelle is so deserving of this auspicious award.

Mrs. Burgess is the Assistant Principal at Blanchard Elementary and she always has a smile on her face and does whatever she can to help. I'm a sub there and my truck would not start one day and I wasn't going to be able to make it to sub that day. Without hesitation she dropped what she was doing and came and picked me up. Not only did she pick me up but she picked up my son too, she took us to drop my son off at his sisters house then brought me in to work so I could still sub that day. You just don't see people do this often enough. She knows me but not well but she knew I needed help and she came to my rescue. I'll always be grateful. Thank you Mrs. Burgess, you showed me that there are still amazing people in this world

Michelle Burgess, thank you for being an inspiration to us all and a big reason why this is the greatest place in America to live!

And because you've been "Caught in the Act" the gang at Silver Star Smokehouse and Silver Star Grille have a $100 Gift Certificate for you to come have dinner on them!

Take a listen to the phone call we made to Michelle to let her know that she was this week's Caught In The Act Award recipient.
