Kagnee and Jason Veitch are one of those couples you want living in your neighborhood and Minden is lucky enough to call them residents. If there's a civic or charitable organization out there, you can bet Kagnee and Jason are involved.

And it's because Kagnee and Jason make helping others a priority, that we're recognizing her as this week's Kiss Country Caught in the Act Award recipients.

It was Kagnee and Jason's friend (and admirer) Amanda Pesnell who told us all about them!

The town of Minden is and will continue to be a better place because of this couple. Lions Club, Young Women's Service Club, Masonic Lodge....if there's a service organization in our town, they are a part of it and continuously volunteer with a smile and a happy, giving heart. Kagnee herself works as Director of Operations for the United Way in NW La and spends every day working to make Northwest Louisiana a better place through her time, selflessness, and devotion. Their selflessness is best described by their actions earlier this year. Through work, Jason was made aware of a young girl in need of a stable home. After thought and prayers, they made the decision to bring this girl (who was a complete stranger to them) into their home. Since this was facilitated outside of the foster system, they did this without the financial assistance that foster parents typically receive. A s parents of two young kids already, you can imagine the struggle. They poured love and stability into this girl's life and gave her a family until she was able to return back to her home. They are true examples of the type of people we all should strive to be. I am proud to call them my friends.

Kagnee and Jason, thank you for being one of the biggest reasons why this is the greatest place in America to live!

And because you've been "Caught in the Act" the gang at Silver Star Steak House and Silver Star Smokehouse have a $100 Gift Certificate for you and the family to come have dinner on them!

Take a listen to the phone call we made to Kagnee to let her know that she and her husband Jason were this week's Caught In The Act Award recipients.
