Seeing how someone can turn the big "C" into a way to tirelessly care for and tutor others as they "cross the track" of Cancer, while the train is coming, will make you realize just how blessed we are that Debbie Worley was put here on earth just for us.

Debbie is this week's recipient of the Kiss Country Caught in the Act Award, and the nomination letter we got from her husband Pat, tells the whole story.

First of all, thanks to you at Kiss Country 93.7 and the folks at Silverstar for recognizing the special people in our area. I'd like to nominate Debbie Worley (my wife). For the past 9 years Debbie volunteered her time and talents to LOOK GOOD, FEEL BETTER, a program designed to help ladies diagnosed with cancer to deal with the harsh effects of the treatments. In a twist of fate, she was diagnosed with breast cancer in late 2011 and went through the program as a client. In 2012, she went through a full year of chemotherapy. Since then she has immersed herself in the lives of other ladies who are going through the same thing. She feels that she can better help them because she has lived it in her own life. She gets referrals from our church, from friends, and from people she doesn't even know. As a result, she has developed lasting relationships with many of the ladies. She st arted a fellowship group with the purpose of loving on them and reminding them how special they are. Practically speaking, she often provides meals, transports some to and from chemo treatments, runs errands for them, and always provides an encouraging word and prayer. Debbie has a strong faith and she believes she has been called to her ministry. She works tirelessly and joyfully to let these ladies know they are special and they are loved.

Debbie Worley, thank you for being one of the biggest reasons why this is the greatest place in America to live!

And because you've been "Caught in the Act" the gang at Silver Star Steak Smokehouse have a $100 Gift Certificate for you and the family to come have dinner on them!

Take a listen to the phone call we made to Debbie to let her know that she was this week's Caught In The Act Award recipient.
