Meet Brittney Nichols – This Week’s Caught in the Act Award Recipient

Brittney Nichols is not only one of the bright spots here in Kiss Country, she's passing her giving spirit down to her kids and that gives us awesome hope for the future from people so willing to put others before themselves.

It was one of Brittney's good friends, Ashley Smith, who nominated her for the award. And it's obvious that Brittney had no idea that others were watching how wonderfully she handles herself.

Here's the letter we received from Ashley nominating Brittney for the Caught in the Act Award.

Brittney is one of my best friends. She is also the mother of two wonderful little girls! She works full time at GE Oil & Gas and runs an online boutique. Even with working full time, raising two kids, and running a boutique, she still finds the time to give back! She donates to children in need through the Pay It Forward Networking group and finds ways to help our local teachers get what they need for their classrooms. She is an amazing person inside and out and she is raising her daughters the same way she recently put on Facebook "Gotta take a second to brag on my Avery!! She has made straight A's all year and has gotten green tiger every day so far! She has also earned enough tiger paws to get a free dress day (which is a LOT and a big deal to her). She has volunteered not only to do her own work but to do the work of a little boy in her class who broke his right arm and can 't write. Those closest to Avery know what she has been through...She amazes me daily.... Shes my best friend....she is beyond her years.... I could not be more proud of my baby." I want to nominate not only her but her daughter, Avery, as well! They will never know how much of an impact they have made on my life!

Brittney Nichols, thank you for being one of the biggest reasons why this is the greatest place in America to live!
