This morning Bristol and I had the chance to visit with Sgt. Mark Haines of the United States Air Force.  He's our first ever recipient of the Kiss Country "Caught in The Act" Award.

Weekly, we are recognizing individuals like Mark who go above and beyond to help others and better our community. We still don't know who nominated Sgt. Haines, but the nomination read like this:

Where to start... Coach Mark coaches 3 baseball teams and one softball team. He helps with stuff like Elks hoop shoot and coats for kids.  He helps with feed the vets. He is in the military and a couple of months ago took a little boy with cancer to the base and put his name on a plane.  He has spoken at my child's school about flag hanging and history.  He is a positive mentor to all kids and never says no! There is never a weekend him and his wife don't have all the local kids at their house playing ball, doing devotional or just having fun. I don't want him to know who put him in for this because he recently helped me out and will never say it was him so I'm just going to remain anonymous.

Wow!  What a guy!  And that "little boy" mentioned was none other than "Mighty Max" and Mark actually made that announcement on our morning show.  He's definitely the kind of person deserving to be "Caught In The Act."

Not only do we want to let the world know of just how awesome Mark is, we're also going to put a little something in his pocket with a $100 Visa Gift Card. Just a small token of our appreciation.  And THANK YOU Mark! You've been "Caught In The Act!"

Take a listen to Mark as we informed him of his award.
