If you've never met Ms. Marjorie Barnes, let us introduce you to one of the finest people to ever grace the great State of Louisiana.  Spend three minutes listening to the conversation we had with her this morning and you'll understand just how easy it was to name her this week's Caught in the Act Award recipient!

One of Marjorie's many fans anonymously entered her for this auspicious award and it floored us that a lady who was 91 years young, could be so active, so selfless and so kind hearted, and we had only just heard of her.

Take a look at the submission letter we got and you'll see why we just had to call her.

Miss Marjorie Barnes will turn 92 in September. She’s volunteered at the Schumpert Cancer Center for 25 years. She’s also been known to collect and donate glasses to the Lion’s Club for kids, she taught the 4yo Sunday school class at church for 40 years and she also belongs to the Mother’s Club of Bossier City and the Young of Heart Seniors Group at Bossier Airline Baptist Church. Additionally, she helps to serve food to the families at Grace Home and gathers and donates clothes for a new children’s program at J.S. Clark Middle School.

Marjorie Barnes, thank you for being one of the biggest reasons why this is the greatest place in America to live!

And because you've been "Caught in the Act" the gang at Silver Star Steak House and Silver Star Smokehouse have a $100 Gift Certificate for you and the family to come have dinner on them!

Take a listen to the phone call we made to Ms. Marjorie to let her know that she was this week's Caught In The Act Award recipient.
