A Shreveport man is behind bars after he was linked to an overnight drive-by shooting.

The shooting occurred around 7:30 p.m. following an argument between Sir’Derrick Kendrick and residents in the 8400 block of Denny Drive. CPSO Detective Matt Lucky said Kendrick confronted the residents because he believed they had his dog.

A press release from the Caddo Parish Sheriff's Office tells us what happens next:

After arguing with the residents, Kendrick got into his vehicle along with a passenger. As Kendrick drove away, the passenger fired multiple shots from the window toward the group of adults and children who were outside. No one was injured but a vehicle was damaged at 8417 Denny Drive and a house was hit at 8421. The house was occupied by adults and children.

Kendrick, 17, of the 2900 block of Sunset Circle, was located overnight and booked into the Caddo Correctional Center today for attempted first-degree murder and illegal carrying of a weapon.

The investigation is continuing.
