Man Accused of Forcing His Way into Shreveport Home
Shreveport Police have arrested a Texas man suspected of forcing his way into a west Shreveport home without the owners permission.
Just before 9am Monday, Shreveport Police got a 911 call from a home on Huston Street. The woman told dispatchers a man forced his way into the home where she worked as a sitter. She was able to get out, but the person she cared for was still inside.
Officers who pulled up on the scene learned the suspect was still inside. They went into the home and found the suspect hiding in a bathroom. He was taken into custody without incident and was found to be in possession of drug paraphernalia at the time of his arrest.
The victims were not hurt. Neither of them knew the suspect.
42-year-old Christopher Murphy of Arlington, Texas, faces charges of unauthorized entry of an inhabited dwelling, possession of drug paraphernalia, and resisting arrest.
