Free Bloomin' Onions for everybody! The LSU Tigers are Outback Bowl Champions after Wednesday’s 21-14 win over Iowa in Tampa, Florida.

Jeremy Hill had a career game in what may be his last game as a Tiger before trying the NFL. Hill had 216 yards on the ground and two touchdowns and was awarded the game’s most valuable player.

Freshman quarterback Anthony Jennings managed the game in his first start, he did throw one interception which led to Iowa’s first touchdown in the third quarter.

Former Green Oaks star Tre’Davious White had an interception for the Tigers.

The win gives LSU a school record fourth straight 10 win season. The team returned to Baton Rouge Thursday afternoon.

LSU defensive tackle Ego Ferguson was not with the team on New Year's Day and did not play in the Outback Bowl. Les Miles said Ferguson is dealing with a health issue. Ferguson has not been with the team since before Christmas because of his health, but Miles would not elaborate on the health issue.

Sophomore running back Jeremy Hill finished the season with 1,401 yards rushing, the second highest season total ever by a Tiger.

Austrailian punter Jaime Keehn set some Outback bowl punting records, Keehn had a career high 10 punts for 469 total yards, both Outback Bowl records.
