LSU Defense Ranks Among Top in Nation

After two straight shutouts at Tiger Stadium, the LSU Tigers have moved up to number 8 in the AP Top 25 national rankings following their 31-0 win over Louisiana-Monroe.

The Tigers are also number eight in the Coaches Poll. LSU Faces Mississippi State on Saturday. The Bulldogs will come into Tiger Stadium ranked just outside the Top 25 with a 3-0 record coming off a 35-3 win over South Alabama.

LSU’s defense is among the national leaders in several statistical categories including number two in the country in scoring defense at 8.3 points per game.

The Tigers are also number three in total and passing defense and have yet to allow a passing touchdown this season.
