Remember when Bayou Country Superfest used to be in Baton Rouge before moving to New Orleans? Never fear, the greater Baton Rouge is getting a new country music festival and it happens this fall.

The new festival is called Flambeau Fest and it's being held at the Lamar Dixon Expo Center in Gonzales. I've been to the venue personally and I think it's going to be a great place to have a show! There's tons of room, lots of parking and covered areas and a ton of RV hook ups.

The headliners for Flambeau Fest Saturday, October 7 and Sunday, October 8, 2017 will be announced Monday, August 7th. The event will also feature regional artists, up and coming country singers, even some classic rock. You can also expect some of the finest food and drink in the country, because after all, we are in Louisiana and we have a reputation to uphold. BTW, we already checked and LSU is playing away in Florida the weekend of the event.

Early bird and pre-sale two day tickets are listed for $119. General admission for both days of the event is $149. VIP packages start at $319.

The festival website has been created, but wasn't functioning as of this morning, but we'll keep checking FlambeauFest.com for signs of life!
