It's a special day at the Governor's Mansion - as the Louisiana Family Forum honors Louisiana's Top Ten Longest Married Couples during a special reception co-hosted by First Lady Donna Edwards.

Every year, LFF honors couples in Louisiana who have been married the longest as "an effort to encourage individual marriages, build a stronger marriage culture and to remind Louisiana that lifelong marriages benefit everybody."

State Representative Mike Johnson will honor the state's longest-known married couple -- at 81 years -- by hosting a Valentine's Day Reception at their home in Benton. A reception for the second longest-married couple -- 79 years -- will be held at the couple's Bryceland home.

Both couples will be presented with an Official Statement of Special Recognition from Governor Edwards and will be entered into LFF's 'Marriage Hall of Fame.'

"It is a true delight to honor these two great couples for their examples and their commitment," said Rep. Johnson in a news release. "In a day when the stability of so many marriages and families is in jeopardy, these folks stand out as exceptional models for all of us."

We don't know exactly who these couples are yet, but we will find out soon! The presentation in Bryceland will be held at 3 p.m., and the one in Benton starts at 4:45 p.m. today.
