Proceeds from this unique dining experience will benefit the growing number of Northwest Louisiana residents who live with severe vision impairment every day.

Your support of the 2016 Dining In The Dark will have a direct impact on our area’s citizens who have vision loss:

1. Seniors learn how to adapt their homes so they can maintain their independence.
2. Working age adults learn how to adapt in the workplace. In doing so, the individual can continue working, earning a paycheck, paying taxes and remaining self-sufficient.
3. Adolescents and children learn how to use adaptive and assistive technologies to maximize learning experiences both in and out of the classroom, preparing them to pursue their educational and/or career goals.
4. Infants from birth to age three years gain 80% of learning by imitation. Despair turns to hope when parents are taught how to teach their vision-impaired infant, laying the groundwork for a lifetime of confidence and success in a sighted world.
