If you are a fan of ridiculous comedy, then you are most likely a fan of Monty Python.  The British comedy troupe specialized in the most absurd funny business possible, and they did it well.  In 1975, the funnymen released one of the most hilarious films of all time - Monty Python and the Holy Grail.  Michael Palin, Graham Chapman, John Cleese, Terry Gilliam, Eric Idle, and Terry Jones retold the Arthurian tale of knights, the Round Table, and the titular Holy Grail with their special brand of satirical British comedy.  That movie has spawned a cult following of folks who turn out in droves every time a special screening or themed event is announced.  If that's you, you're gonna love this.  The lost skits, originally cut from the movie have been found!

As per their usual method of working, the guys came up with way more material than they needed.  A completely different (and more expensive) ending that included a massive battle scene between the French and British forces was among the cuts made from the original script.  The scene would be too expensive to film, and would ultimately be replaced with King Arthur being arrested by modern-day British police.  A skit entitled "The Pink Knight," would also be cut from the final version.  This skit would have a bridge guarded by a pink knight that would not allow anyone to pass without a kiss from King Arthur.  A scene with a Wild West saloon-style bookstore would also be cut.

Variety reports that the skits were found by researchers cataloging the huge collection of Michael Palin's notes recently donated to the British Library in June.  Ni!
