Lies We Tell Our Children [VIDEO]
We preach honesty to our children in hopes that they will become respectful adults. But, oh the lies we tell them during their youth. We are collecting a list of those “harmless” tales that we tell our children.
How many of us thought at one point during our childhood that we were going to grow watermelons in our stomach if we swallowed the seeds? LIE! Or how about when we made funny faces? Did your face ever stay like that? No, LIE! Or how about the countless stories of how our pets went on fun adventures (swimming in the ocean, etc.)? Here are a few common lies that parents tell their children:
- Santa, the Toothfairy, the Easter Bunny
- It doesn’t matter if you win or lose
- The police arrest children who are bad/who swear/who disobey
